The Advanced Digital Media Technology Center (ADMTC) of the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC) will conduct a Training Course on "Dynamic Web Application Development with PHP & MySQL"

Course Description:

PHP:Introduction to the Environment, Installing and Configuring(-Linux, Apache MySQL, PHP(LAMP)-Windows, Apache, MySQL,PHP(WAMP), -Different versions and why?, Language basics and Functions, String Handling and Maipulation, Arrays, Objects and Classes, Dynamic Graphics, PDF Creation, Database Handling, Management of Sessions and Cookies, Mail Handling, File Uploading, Debugging PHP Codes, Customizing Open Source Software, Domain registration, Web Hosting, Internet Business
MySql: Open Source Software Licensing, Database Concepts, Data Types, Operators, Functions, Data Storage Engines and Table types, SQL, Privileges and Security, Error Codes and Messages, Database Tools:-Command Line Interface-MySql Administrator-MySql Query Browser -MySql Workbench - phpMyAdmin- A web Client. PHP Web Applications in Sinhala and Tamil

10 Weekends (60 Hours)

Registration :

The duly filled application form should be handed over to the ADMTC and the payment deposit slips should be collected. The course fee should be paid in cash or by cheque payable to the "University of Colombo School of Computing-ADMTC" (personal cheques not accepted) and the UCSC copy should be handed over to the Coordinator, Advanced Digital Media technology Centre, University of Colombo School of Computing , No. 35, Reid Avenue, Colombo 7 on or before the starting date. The Number of places is limited to 18 and will be filled strictly on a first-come-first-served basis.
