Third Country Training Program on e-Learning Technology

For whom:  The course is ideal for those from Teaching and Technical staff of Universities, Institutes, Industry and who wish to transfer their knowledge to develop Multimedia-based content and develop e-Learning materials.

Course Content:

Part I: Introduction to Web Technologies, Web Authoring (HTML), Web Templates handling using CSS, Client side web page interactivity handling using JavaScript, Instructional Design Methodology for e-Learning, Web Server Setup (Apache, MySQL, PHP),

Part II:Installing, Configuring and Managing Open Source e-Learning Management System, Introduction to Macromedia Dreamweaver for quick Web Authoring, Image editing using Adobe Photoshop, Interactive animation creating using Flash MX, Image Slicing and animating using Image Ready, Advanced Learning Content Authoring using Director MX,

Part III: Final Project-Development of e-Learning Content, Presentation

30 weekdays (26th October - 8th December 2009)

This course is funded by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC).

The respective Foreign Affairs Ministry/relevant Agencies should forward a copy of the endorsed form to the Director General, Department of External Resources, Ministry of Finance and Planning, The Secretariat (3 rd Floor) P.O. Box 277, Colombo, Sri Lanka, through its diplomatic channels and another copy directly to the Director, University of Colombo School of Computing, No.35, Reid Avenue, Colombo 07, Sri Lanka on or before 22nd September 2009.
