A workshop on "DAISY" (Digital, Accessible Information System) held from 4th December 2003 to 6th December 2003. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Hiroshi Kawamura, the expert in DAISY from Japan.

The DAISY is globally recorginesed standard to facilitate in creating accssible content for those who are unable to read due disabilities.

During the first 2 days of the workshop, Mr. Kawamura trained 10 vissually disable resource persons to develop DAISY standard content. On the last day, 28 undergraduates were trained to use digial talking books. They were handed over digital talking books for their university studies.
